COP 3022 – Moving Cars Project
CARS

This past spring semester, I took another Java class. Like the dual enrollment class I took my senior year; we covered everything from the basics to inheritance and custom exceptions.

With the Moving Cars project, we used JavaFX to make and move a car. We had to call the creation method multiple times to create more than one. With the movement, the cars move forward or backward at a random number between zero and four spaces. This was the best way to simulate a race, so not one car won every time.

Overall, the project was easy for me. The main thing that caused me trouble was ensuring the cars would stop when the first one reached the end. I had to ensure the variable controlling the movement was starting and stopping correctly, affecting the car objects when it did.
