Computer Order Calculator

During the spring 2022 semester, I took another Java class. We covered everything from the basics to inheritance and custom exceptions.

One of the last projects we did was creating a computer order calculator using JavaFX. The project would take user input from three sets of add-ons for a computer and then would output the total based on what was chosen.

Overall, the project was pretty easy for me. The main thing that caused me trouble was the three columns lining up after I separated each category into its own class. I had everything working while all three categories and the main display were all in the same class. When separating them, the columns would not line up, and the total would not take in the correct values.

Ever since this project, I have developed each program one class at a time. Doing it class by class allows the debugging process to be much quicker. If you try to complete multiple classes at one time, you could have a much harder time trying to fix all of the errors.
